It’s time to start thinking of the summer paddling season and getting back out on the creek.
The 2013 Burloak Canoe Club registration package is available in the Programs section. The package contains information about the programs offered at the club – including program overviews, dates and fees, and the registration and medical forms required to be completed during registration.
We will be holding two Open House registration days at the club:
- Saturday April 6th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Sunday May 5th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Returning athletes should register with payment by April 30th. Non-registered athletes will not be permitted on the water after May 1st.
The commitment of volunteers continues to be a very important part of the success of the Burloak Canoe Club. We rely on the dedication of our members (and their parents) to support the various volunteer and fundraising activities of the Club. There are many ways that our members can contribute, including bingos, the Canadian Open, Regatta support, and fundraising events. Please refer to the Volunteer Commitment section of the Registration package for more details.
Just as a reminder, all paddlers are required to provide their own life jacket and whistle and to have this equipment on or in their boat, if not directly attended by the coach boat. Note: All Elementary age paddlers must wear a life jacket/PDF at all times when near or on the water.
A preliminary regatta schedule by age group is available on the Regattas page.
If you have any questions regarding any of the information contained in the registration package, the Open House registration days are a great opportunity to get your questions answered, tour the facility, and meet the members of the coaching staff. You can also send me an email at email@example.com or call the club at (905) 338-8287.
